We slept in, but not on purpose. Le Meridian doesn’t have a clock in the room. What is this, Vegas? Since we got such a late start, we headed straight for the State Opera House to catch the hop-on/ hop-off tour bus. A trip with Mom would not be complete if a hop-on/ hop-off tour bus was not involved. We did a circle around the city, and then went back out to Schonbrunn Palace.
Mom wanted to see the Palace again. It ended up being a very time consuming because we had to wait a long time for the bus. Then, the bus that was completely packed ended up having an incident with some people that were trying to get on but couldn’t because there was no more room which took another half-hour of our day. After returning to the State Opera House, Mom went back to the hotel, and I went around the Old Town. It is just so beautiful. I met Mom back at the hotel, and she picked where we would go for dinner.
___ Reinleter was closed. Since it was so late, we had some trouble finding a place to have dinner. We ended up at a restaurant called Sky, completely by accident. It was pretty chic, and I had a great Veal Risotto. Best of all, there was a beautiful terrace with a view of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. 
After dinner, we went to the Hotel Sacher for the famous Sacher torte. It did not live up to the hype. It was good, not great. We still enjoyed the torte and a cappuccino.
